Christmas Eve with family

Had dinner at Chin Chin Eating House (19 Purvis Street). Driving through Bugis area and parking was easier than I thought. Chin Chin was not crowded at all, and we got seats immediately. Food was decent and service was good. I think I will recommend this place for the TTA Chinese New Year gathering in 2011!

Bittergourd soup - normal zi-char standard

Chap chye - yummy! Rich taste from the dried shrimp and hee peow

Hainanese chicken - quite tender, and I like the chilli

Claypot tofu - another normal zi-char dish

Hainanese pork chop - highly raved about in reviews. Not bad indeed!

We braved the crowds and drove through Orchard for a last look at the Christmas lights! Was fun - we spotted two tourist buses with waving passengers, a cute family with a blond little girl, a family all wearing Xmas hats (including the maid, which we thought was nice), and a dog that was wearing Xmas suit and a collar with fairy lights! I was the driver so no photos to show!
