The first two days of my Australian Holiday (7 and 8th Dec)

Well, the photos for these two days are here!

Our flight was supposed to be at 2005 hrs but it was delayed till 2140 hrs. Before that, my family had lunch together, then we just walked around the airport. I waited for them to have dinner and sent them off before meeting Dan, HS and G.

Had dinner with them and then took photos around. The flight was further delayed and we had to wait for some passengers to disembark before we could board the flight. Unfortunately for Dan and me, some kid behind us was cranky and kept kicking the seats so we could not rest. Sigh.

We reached Sydney at almost 9 a.m. and had a hard time just getting to the hotel. The first airport transfer van was full and we were directed all over the place until the second one arrived. However, it still could not leave without 10 passengers. Meanwhile, we were worried that we would be late for our 11.30 a.m. transfer to Circular Quay, so we repacked some stuff in preparation of the afternoon tour. We even packed beach gear, not knowing we would only stop at Bondi for a while.

Anyway we finally reached DeVere Hotel, and washed up a bit. The toilets at the fifth floor had a fantastic view.

We arrived at Circular Quay after that, and took lots of photos while waiting for our Captain Cook luncheon cruise. Buffet lunch was good but I think we enjoyed the sun and the breeze as well as the view as the cruise took us around the harbour area. After that, we had a city tour bringing us to the different spots. However, we didn't get to stop a lot so I had to be satisfied with taking photos from the coach most of the time. Finally gave up and dozed off! We stopped at some coastal walk and also Bondi Beach.

Anyway we returned to DeVere, checked into our rooms (with a fantastic view of a zinc roof this time, hee). Geri and HS were shocked at the state of the rooms but Dan and I found it passable. Dan was unfortunately sick at this time so the three of us went to Woolworths Supermarket opposite the hotel and got some dinner!
